Our Philosophy
Project Agora helps young people "know themselves, become themselves, and transcend themselves.” Agora’s vision is to help our fellows develop their own conscience for the world and a sense of confidence and agency in themselves.
Agora was initiated by world leaders including H.E. George Papandreou, the 182nd Prime Minister of Greece, and Hon. Kevin Rudd, the 26th Prime Minister of Australia. Agora is proud to have a growing list of luminaries serving as mentors, including former heads of state, Nobel laureates, Ivy League scholars, and industry leaders.
Today, this learning community serves more than 200 members from over 50 different cities across five continents, including more than 50 Agora fellows and their parents, as well as more than 50 mentors.
Mission
Agora’s mission is to cultivate within young people a strong sense of self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-love, and to nurture a new generation of global citizens and leaders who see their own fulfillment through creating a more just and prosperous world.
